Bridal Shower

May 5th, 2013

Left to Right: Amelia (Bridesmaid), Sara (Bridesmaid), me, Sarah (Maid of Honor), Kyla (Bridesmaid)

My girls planned a beautiful Southern-themed bridal shower. All of the ladies were asked to wear a hat. It was a wonderful day filled with laughter and rum punch! My Maid of Honor, Sarah, made delicious strawberry jam (my favorite) to pass out as favors.

The Un-Ruinable Proposal

Tom and I had been discussing getting engaged and I knew that it was going to happen soon. Tom really wanted to surprise me and wanted to plan a proposal that I would not be expecting. On Monday, September 17, 2012 Tom came home early from work and was planning to pop the question! He cleaned up the house, hid his car in the garage, and tied the ring to Rosko's collar. He put them in his crate and hid in the closet to wait until I got home. Tom is usually still at work at this time, so I wouldn't be expecting him.
Well... I arrived home at my usual time that day and began to unload my car. I had my hands full and began accidently pressing buttons on the key ring. I suddenly hear Tom's car alarm going off in the garage! I am completely confused and walk in the house and begin looking for Tom. I find him hiding in the bedroom. He immediately says "You were supposed to let out Rosko!" A little annoyed, I walk over to open the crate and see my beautiful ring tied to Rosko's collar. Rosko sat perfectly still while I opened the crate. When I turned around Tom was on one knee and asked me to marry him.
And that is how I ruined the un-ruinable proposal.
